Missi did not play in Friday’s loss to the Warriors, resulting in Daniel Theis re-entering the starting lineup. Theis only played 18 minutes and did not provide enough value to merit being streamed if Missi cannot play on Monday.

Dejounte Murray (fractured left hand) is doubtful for Monday’s game against the Pacers.

Murray has been able to get in some on-court work recently, but it appears likely that he’ll remain sidelined on Monday. Brandon Boston Jr. should continue to be streamed until the Pelicans welcome back some of their injured guards, including Murray and CJ McCollum.

CJ McCollum (right adductor strain) went through contact practice on Saturday and hopes to play on Monday against the Pacers.

McCollum has missed the team’s last 13 games, but there is a chance that he returns to the lineup on Monday. New Orleans is in desperate need of reinforcements, and McCollum’s return should help them turn things around. His return would also push Elfrid Payton to the bench.

Brandon Boston Jr. provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (6-of-13 FGs), five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and one triple against the Warriors on Friday.

Boston Jr. has been a consistent starter for the Pelicans through all of their injury issues, but he was pushed to the bench for this game. However, he still played 35 minutes. Only Brandon Ingram and Trey Murphy played more, so Boston Jr. will continue to play a ton of minutes moving forward. This was likely to stagger their scoring options and not have a dropoff when the starters came out. Boston Jr. should continue to be a strong option moving forward until players like Herb Jones, CJ McCollum and Dejounte Murray get healthy. At that point, there may not be enough minutes for Boston Jr. to make a fantasy impact.
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl recorded a double-double on Friday with 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one triple against Golden State.

JRE has seen some starts this season due to the amount of injuries that New Orleans has dealt with, but coming off the bench in this game, he was able to put together arguably his best game of the season. He set season-highs for both points and rebounds and hit a big shot late in the fourth to nearly help the Pelicans get the win. He didn’t get the starting nod with Yves Missi sidelined, but JRE ended up playing 23 minutes to Daniel Theis’ 18. This was a good game, but it doesn’t make JRE a must-add off the waiver wire.
Trey Murphy III

NOP Small Forward #25

Trey Murphy lit up the Warriors with 24 points (9-of-17 FGs), four rebounds, four assists, one block and five 3-pointers in a 112-108 loss on Friday.

This was only Murphy’s fifth game of the season, but he has progressively been getting better. He hit some big shots down the stretch and nearly helped the Pelicans pull off a late comeback, but he still turned in an excellent line. Murphy led the team in scoring and set new season-highs for points, 3-pointers and assists. It’s no secret that Murphy is an incredible option in 9-cat leagues, and he is starting to get going. This was their final game of the week, but he’ll look to keep it going during their upcoming four-game week.
Daniel Theis

Elfrid Payton, Javonte Green, Brandon Ingram, Trey Murphy, and Daniel Theis will start Friday’s game against the Warriors.

Ingram and Muphy are back after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Cavaliers, which pushes Brandon Boston Jr. and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to the bench. Also in the starting lineup is Theis, who steps in for the injured Yves Missi (shoulder).

Yves Missi (left shoulder soreness) is out for Friday’s game against the Warriors.

Missi will not play after being listed as questionable on the initial injury report. While Daniel Theis began the season as the starting center, he’s recently fallen out of the rotation. Rookie Karlo Matkovic may be the preferred replacement in the starting lineup, which would give him a shot at achieving some semblance of fantasy relevance.
Zion Williamson

The Pelicans are bracing for Zion Williamson (left hamstring) to be out longer than initially expected, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Typically, this is a four-to-six week injury, which would’ve had Zion back in the lineup by mid-December. However, he has reportedly received multiple injections in his hamstring, and they’re bracing for him to be sidelined longer. It’s unclear when that could be, but as the rest of the Pelicans’ rotation gets healthy, Trey Murphy should continue to be part of the team’s starting unit until Zion is back.

NOP Small Forward #14

Brandon Ingram (bilateral ankle sprain) and Jordan Hawkins (low back strain) are available for Friday’s matchup with Golden State, and CJ McCollum (right adductor strain) is out.

Ingram sat out Wednesday against Cleveland on the second leg of a back-to-back set, but he’ll be back following that one-game absence. Hawkins has missed seven straight and eight of the last nine, but he’ll return against the Warriors. With McCollum and so many key players still sidelined, Ingram and Hawkins will be leaned on heavily against the top team in the Western Conference.
