Trae Young posted a full line on Friday with 25 points (8-of-18 FGs), one rebounds, 13 assists, four steals and one triple against the Bulls.

After scoring a total of 19 points over his last two games, Young got back on track in the points department without sacrificing his assist numbers. This was his sixth game with at least 25 points and 10 assists this season, and while he is averaging a career-high in assists, his scoring is the worst it has been since his rookie year. He is shooting 38.4% from the floor, which is the worst mark of his career. He shot 41.8% from the floor as a rookie, so if he can at least get back up to that mark, he’ll easily average 25/10 for the third straight season.
Jalen Johnson

Jalen Johnson recorded a double-double on Friday with 25 points (10-of-19 FGs), 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers in a 136-122 loss to the Bulls.

Johnson has been producing at an elite level recently and has been one of the best players in fantasy basketball. Over the last two weeks, he is averaging 20.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.5 blocks and 2.0 triples while shooting 52.2% from the floor and 86.7% from the free throw line. The 3.0 turnovers per game during that stretch aren’t great, but he has been able to return positive value in every other category during that stretch. He’s one of the best players in fantasy basketball and has truly turned it on after a slow start to the season.
Clint Capela

Clint Capela shined on Friday and contributed 21 points (10-of-14 FGs), 11 rebounds, three assists and one block against Chicago.

Capela’s numbers and minutes are way down this year, but that didn’t limit him in this game. He ended up playing 27 minutes, which is four more than his season average. That was enough time for him to set a new season-high for scoring and record a third straight double-double. Capela won’t contribute much outside of rebounds and a strong field goal percentage consistently, though he has been able to swat more shots recently. His best days are behind him, but he’s still capable of providing strong numbers, as he showed in this game.

Johnson is back after sitting out Monday’s win over the Kings. As a result, Garrison Mathews returns to the bench, where he offers little value as a deep-league streamer. Feel free to leave Mathews on the waiver wire.

Krejci sat out Monday’s win over the Kings, as it was Atlanta’s second game in as many nights. He’ll be in the rotation on Wednesday but is unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball. Leave Krejci on the waiver wire.

Johnson was a late scratch for Monday’s win over the Kings, with Garrison Mathews replacing him in the starting lineup. While Mathews may get another start if Johnson cannot play, he doesn’t offer much fantasy value beyond points and 3-pointers.
De'Andre Hunter

De’Andre Hunter provided a boost off the bench on Monday with 24 points (9-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, one assist, one block and four 3-pointers against the Kings.

After returning from a lengthy absence, Hunter has come off the bench in his last two appearances. It may seem like a demotion in favor of Zaccharie Risacher, but it has been a beneficial move for both Hunter and the Hawks. In his last two games, he has averaged 23.0 points and 3.5 triples while shooting 57.1% from the floor. He has shot an absurdly high percentage for a perimeter player, and that will likely even out as he plays more games. However, while he still isn’t contributing defensive stats, this role as a reserve has been ideal for him.
Zaccharie Risacher

ATL Small Forward #10

Zaccharie Risacher posted a full line on Monday with 18 points (6-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers against the Kings.

It hasn’t come consistently, but the rookie has shown that he’s more than capable of impacting the game in a multitude of ways. On the heels of two straight games without a 3-pointer or defensive stat, it was encouraging to see him get back on track in this game. He has been quieter since his 33-point outburst a couple weeks ago, but the flashes are important to see out of the first pick in the draft. Risacher will look to build off this performance against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Trae Young

ATL Point Guard #11

Trae Young dished out the dimes on Monday and finished with seven points (1-of-7 FGs), three rebounds, 19 assists, two steals and five turnovers in a 109-109 win over Sacramento.

Young simply didn’t shoot the ball much in this game, but he had no problem facilitating to his teammates. His 19 assists are the most in a game so far this season and the second-highest single-game total in his career. The lack of points were uncharacteristic and frustrating, but the abundance of dimes helped make up for it. He only took seven shots, which won’t happen often. Managers shouldn’t expect this to be the norm moving forward, and he should get back to being aggressive offensively when they play the Warriors on Wednesday.
Garrison Mathews

ATL Shooting Guard #24

The Hawks will start Trae Young, Dyson Daniels, Garrison Mathews, Zaccharie Risacher and Clint Capela against the Kings on Monday.

With Jalen Johnson (leg) as a late scratch, Quin Snyder will opt for more shooting in the starting lineup with Mathews. De’Andre Hunter and Larry Nance should be candidates for extra minutes off the bench, and Bogdan Bogdanovic’s return adds another wrinkle to the rotation.
